Storyline Vs Captivate

Articulate and Captivate are the two most common tools for e-learning content production. Which tool is more popular, and why? Pros, and Cons of each tool, over the other?

This is the most comprehensive comparison i have seen on web http://fredcomm.com/articles/detail/articulate_vs_captivate_comparing_popular_rapid_elearning_development_tools

now this one is the latest…allison nederveld did a most recent comparison between the two tools…read it here

I’d also like to throw Lectora in the mix. Lectora is intuitive and easy to use, but offers the kind of flexibility and power you need so that your course is never dictated by the product itself. You’ll never hit a ceiling with the kind of content you can build. Plus, Lectora comes with ReviewLink - an online review tool for collecting feedback from your team members. Lectora Inspire is a bundle that includes Techsmith’s Snagit and Camtasia as well as the eLearning Brothers Template Library, Cutout People Library and Interaction Builder.

Here’s a recent comparison which is on the money http://www.ecoach.com.au/articles/storyline2-vs-captivate9/
It’s as comprehensive as some other comparisons, but it provides a good high-level overview of both platforms to see which product might suit you / your team best.
